Powerwall 3 integration won't accept password

Hi,

I just had Solar and Tesla Powerwall 3 / Backup Gateway 2 installed at my house and I would like to integrate it into Home Assistant.

I have found my PW on my network at https://192.168.1.197/ although if I go there with port 443 it just shows “404 page not found”

Home Assistant has not auto-discovered the Powerwall and when I try and set up the integration and it asks for IP and password I have tried all combinations of the password written on the inside door of the Gateway (last 5 letters, full password) but it will not connect.

The Tesla app is working fine and I can see the system appears to be working as expected.

Can anyone offer any advice on how I can add the system to HA?

I run a standalone HAOS server on a headless minipc, Iaccess via WebUI but can also access Command line on the server

Thank you

Jim

I don’t believe PW3/GW2 is currently supported through the username and password. You can use the oauth/cloud based authentication but that will require a number of additional steps. I’ve got PW3/GW2 and still trying to find a non-cloud way to poll the metrics.

Hi Eric, thanks for your reply, I think you are right, I don’t think there is support for our hardware.
I have looked at the other options and they seem to require various rather clumsy combinations of third party hosting of data / tokens, subscription only services or bridging to the TeslaPW network from the server.
Its fine I’ll just use the Tesla app instead, HAOS is just a bit of fun for me anyway
