I am not tecki savi, I would like to install home assistant with predbat, to get the best out of mysolar edge batteries & inverters, these are remote from my home... is there someone out there who can do this for me (for a fee...)
Keep in mind you would have to pay them to also update it every month. Home Assistant is probably not the best fit for you if you are not willing to learn how to use it.
You already pay predbat to use AI to do this automagically, to tweak your equipment for peak efficiency and lowest cost. Do you imagine you can do better with an HomeAssistant app?
Are you wanting to setup predbat at the remote location, setup HomeAssistant at the remote location, integrated with the predbat app, and remotely access the results, or have full remote control of an existing predbat installation?
Why predbat at all? Can't you use HomeAssistant to do it all instead? Yes, it can be configured for remote access and control. A simple solution is offered by Nabu Casa with a Green box and monthly remote network access, and the profits going towards supporting the HomeAssistant ecosphere. You can alternatively roll your own for free without the small monthly fees, the documentation being well structured and easily followed.
Split your problem up into smaller chunks and you may find a whole new world of futzing around beckons. You know there are regular updates to HomeAssistant that may require tender and frequent cajoling to keep it working, don't you?
This won't be a one off cost. Expect to pay handsonely if ongoing support is used frequently. The learning curve is steep, but the savings are measured in satisfaction.
Have you checked with your solar equipment installer for advice? They are dealing with these questions every day and may have an edge on experience and alternatives you may not have considered yet.
The mySolarEdge app is well documented. Vendor as well as the HomeAssistant flavour. Choose wisely.
