After struggling for hours to create automations that work properly with the Aqara FP300 Presence Sensor, and with very little success, I finally realised what was causing the issue: The large mirrored wardrobe doors.
It seems that the millimetre waves emitted by the sensor are reflecting off the mirrors, which is likely confusing the device and affecting its accuracy.
This of course isn’t limited to the FP300. I believe any presence sensor that uses millimetre-wave technology could potentially experience the same issue.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is this a known phenomenon?
