Does anyone know if I can prestage a Zigbee 3rd reality bulb to a different color when it’s turned off only using ZHA.
Use case
I turn all the bedroom bulbs to blue at 9 pm. When they are off , I want to set an automation to prestage them to white when off around 5 am
So when we get up and turn the lights on they are already white and don’t have to voice change then to white.
I use the Zigbee ThirdReality bulbs in HA using ZHA. I have automations to turn the lights different colors and kelvins at different times of the day with no problems. They have been very reliable for their rather cheap price.
When I go to bed and voice turn off the lights they are blue.
I want to know if an automation can prestage them to white while they are off. So in the morning when I say turn on lights , they are white and I don’t have to voice change them from blue to white.
Generally, you can’t do that. Based on other threads here about the same subject, it’s a limitation of the bulbs themselves
I do exactly that with my ThirdReality Bulbs. I created SCENES with the bulbs that turn them “Sky Blue” at 30% brightness when we go to bed and another SCENE for the morning that sets them to “Bright White” at 100% brightness in the morning when we are getting ready for work.
I am not sure why you are having a problem with them. I will post an automation when I get home to my computer where I can grab one this evening.
No issues , just moving from zwave bulbs where I could prestage them off and adjusting to the best way to do this.
I was thinking of the scenes , I do that now to turn them blue. Just thinking through what I want to verbal call it it to go white.
