Team - I have the HA Preview Edition. I’d like to be able to replicate the single button press via the HA dashboard. The expected behaviour would be - I would press the HA dashboard button and the PE would light up and respond as if i’d physically pressed the centre button.
I don’t have one of those but isn’t that button part of the yaml and visible on the device page?
Hi,
There is no local web interface unless you reconfigure the YAML by using local ESPhome Builder
to Take Control - otherwise, updates are managed by the creator centrally (good!).
I’m leaving mine as-is, as updates from Nabu Casa of the Beta device are very much desired.
A nmap
IPv4 port scan of the Home Assistant Voice Preview Edition only shows the API and OTA ports (3232/tcp
, 6053/tcp
).
The device in HA has a Button press
but this is an event
, not a button.
If this helps, this post!
thats really useful, thanks. Reconfirms what I thought I knew. Essentially I wanted a way to press the central button remotely. Either using a keyboard shortcut or in my case via my stream deck. And have the PE respond as if the button had been pressed i.e. light up and respond directly using the inbuilt speaker.
I’ll wait until a further update comes along.
