I am trying to install uptime KUMA v0.14.1. The add-on installs OK, and the start up log says all good. But when I hit the “open web UI” button. a web page pops up and it just hangs there blank and not fully loading. I have two instance of HA and on both of them, they are doing the same thing. I also tried on IOS, MACOS safari and chrome and doing the same thing.
Any help would be appreciated. Or does someone have a suggestion how I can remotely monitor the HA instance on duckdns.org subdomain from another HA? Thanks for your help in advance.
Thanks Andrew For reminding me to document the solution to help the community. If KUMA developers are monitoring, a good idea to mention this in the installation process. Exactly Andrew said. Try “https://homeassistant.local:3001” or with local HA IP address. Mine was pointing to unique address that I had set up. The confusion was there was no error messages on the browser, simple timeout. So thought the installation was bad.
To further help people who may be having it up remotely without VPN access. as you need access KUMA interface with local address, I was able to install Firefox addon and use the browser within HA to go to its local KUMA address remotely.
