Bought a new Google Hub Max for the kitchen. Moved the small Google Hub display out of the kitchen and into bedroom and installed the max in its place. Changed the device names around so scripts (Node Red) still work.
Front yard camera streams ok to small hub in bedroom when door bell pressed (as it did when it was in the kitchen). But when I try to stream this cam to the max I get the Home Assistant logo with Welcome to Home Assistant?
I suspect its to do with multiple configurations for the cameras in Home Assistant.
I have two configurations that interface with these cameras. One is via Synology integration and the other is via Foscam integration.
I use the Foscam integration to access the cameras and Synology integration for other reasons but it happens to pick up the cameras via Synology Surveillance system as well.
I have to test this my removing the Foscam integration and renaming the Synology Surveillance names for these cameras. Don’t know if this delays the stream, would prefer to interface directly via Foscam or even ffmpeg.
Will adjust configuration to one integration only for cameras and see what happens.
Long time ago now. What I have now is RTSPtoWEB installed for cameras.
Also when I did get streaming to google devices to work there was a considerable delay. So I also set up an Android (tablet Samsung Galaxy A8) and a WIndows tablet (HP ElitePad 1000) and set up two different methods of remote browser control.
Much quicker to use Browser Mod to switch to a live stream browser page when triggered by motion or doorbell. But you need a device with a browser, not a Google Hub Max.
