I have been sucessfully making use of the Miele Integration to manage a control when our washing machine starts, so that it runs mainly on low cost Octopus energy electricity.
That is until the latest download of firmware to the washing machine. (model WEG665 WiFi module 04.05).
The Pause function used to allow the machine to be paused at certain times in it's cycle, and once pause was "pressed" the washer would wait for 10mins before automatically resuming. I was able to use this function to temporarily pause when the electricity cost switched to a high cost rate. Then my automation would detect when the washer came out of pause and either pause again, or allow the washer to continue if the electricity cost was low once more.
Following the latest firmware release installed on the washer, the pause function no longer automatically restarts after 10minutes nor can it be restarted through the HA Integration, instead the washer powers off and can only be powered back on to resume the washing cycle by using the machines own fascia controls.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Has the API interface changed or is this purely a firmware issue with the washer, in which case is there a "hotline" to the Miele SW development team who can restore the original functionality.
NB. the machine also exhibits this behaviour when paused through the Miele Android app, so I strongly suspect the problem is the washer firmware version.
Further experimentation has resulted in an issue which may be a problem with the HA Miele integration.
Pressing pause in the Miele app still allows the washer to be restarted using the start button in the Miele app.
Pressing the Pause control in the HA Miele integration pauses the washer but does not re-enable the start button. Also pressing Pause via HA Integration suppresses the start button on the Miele app as well, which means the washer can only be restarted from the machines own control panel. Pressing Pause in the HA Integration also results in the Pause button being greyed out after aproximately 1 minute. After 10 minutes the washer powers itself off and has to be restarted at the machine.
