I have been using the Frient intellegent keypad with alarmo and ZHA for over a year now, with no issues, I do usually lock and unlock the alarm with my phone, I tried to use the keypad this week and it no longer works, the device is still communicating with HA and reports a tamper and status change on the keypad and firmware is shown as up to date, but the actual keypad sensor is showing unavailable, I've power cycled it, resulting in ha receiving a tamper message so I know that's working, but the actual keypad element is unavailable.
Do you have any thoughts on troubleshooting this, done the usual restart of everything.
To clarify this is that the keypad sensor has become unavailable
I don't think it's an Alarmo issue, Alarmo is working fine. The issue us that one of the entities/sensors for the keypad no longer exists. So I think it's a HA/ZHA issue. As you can see the device is still communicating with HA and status changes sync ie triggered and tamper etc, but the actual keypad itself seems to have become unsupported/unavailable for some reason. To add this has been working for a year, this isn't new implementation problem
I have the same keypad and effectively the same issue - perfectly functioning keypad with RFID and then a few weeks ago it stops. I still see tamper events, tried repairing and it pairs but since the keypad is unavailable, it can't trigger automations properly...
Seems there was a big code change in June... I did investigate but couldn't pin anything down. I'm running the next version myself, and I don't have the issue with my Frient keypad. Let's see if the issue still happens in the next update
