Program in velbuslink via homeassistant via usbcable

i wonder : is it somehow possible to program the velbus via velbuslink-software via homeassistant ?

at this moment i use only an usbcable and no signum .
this usbcable is connected to my homeassitant server.

thx

Absolutely it is.

All you need to do is install your choice of Velbus TCP server onto your machine, then point HA to it, by modifying your connection.

Including support for the TLS security that Velbus-TCP offers

After that, you can use Velbuslink via this server at the same time as any other connection.

Depending on which type of machine you’ve got, you can choose from

VelServ [Linux only] - How-To : Install and Run VelServ - a Velbus TCP Gateway - #21 by MDAR - For developers - Velbus Forum

PB_,Server [Windows Only] - An other Velbus-server (Purebasic) - For developers - Velbus Forum

Or the official Velbus SNAP package, Velbus-TCP with TLS support, that works within the Conical SNAP sub-system (Linux / Windows etc) -

I’m happy to help you get this up and running.

@vith

Did this work for you?

hello MDAR ,

i managed to get a server running ( via snap ) .
i suppose this will work fine , but i need to test it.

regards ,

Excellent news.

I’m sure it’ll all be fine now.

But do feel free to ask any questions

ok thx for the follow up
