I am very new to HA and don’t understand the error message. I thought I had connected a Aeotec Door/Window Sensor 7 Pro. I see the device listed as a Z-Wave device, but get the error message, ‘This device has been provisioned but is not yet included in the network.’ I’ve tried deleting and reconnecting and get the same message.
Any suggestions, or can you point me to an article that would help?
This “error” message is often misleading. If you see your device in HA and its sensors and configuration parameters are shown, the device is most likely ready to be used. Otherwise, the device may be sleeping and it needs to be waken up in order for the installation process to finished. Look up the device’s installation instructions on how to do that.
Thanks to this tip I was able to solve the situation. I needed to make sure the prior hub this sensor was connected to was fully disconnected, then I reset the sensor to factory settings, and reconnected. all works fine now.
