PS4 component - HA and PS4 on separate VLANs/broadcast domains

Hello,

Wanted to see if someone could confirm this, do Home Assistant and the PS4 need to be on the same broadcast domain for this component to work? https://www.home-assistant.io/components/ps4/

I’m assuming yes as it keeps saying no PS4 found. If that’s the case are there any other options here? I have a “media” network where my PSx’s live along with other media player (FireTV, DVD player, AMP, etc). I have another IoT network which is where my HA instance lives. The Onkyo component works across VLANs as I can specify the IP address and allow it in the firewall.

Is there any way to make the PS4 work with a manual configuration by knowing it’s IP address? Or some other way to make it work?

Specifying ip address is now possible.
