im currently using zwave JS.
a device was working perfectly fine in a part of the house. i moved it to the other side of the house. and now the device is no longer working. there is already a zwave repeater nearby. is there anything i have to do with zwave js? or should i first remove the device from HA. add back in when im at the new location?
Have you tried to heal the network (at least devices you would expect moved device to connect to and then, if reappears, device itself)? This should rebuild network connections lists. Zwave might be sometimies sensitive to devices being moved to other than original locations and not being able to connect using known route…
Try healing the device first before you run heal network. Heal network is extremely chatty and can be challenging in very large installations.
Yes the device needs to be healed before things will work right. It may be in range of a repeating device but It doesn’t know how to path back to the coordinator because it has its old repeating table loaded and doesn’t know to use that nearby device.
