PV Management — has your PV system paid for itself yet?

I built this because two questions kept nagging me: when will the system have paid for itself, and is our consumption actually normal for a house this size?

So it tracks amortisation in real time — how much is paid off, what’s left, the break-even date — and compares your consumption against Austrian, German and Swiss averages, house and heat pump separately. It also compares up to four PV strings by kWh per kWp, which is how you spot the one that quietly underperforms.

The newer part learns your own consumption pattern from the recorder: a 24×7 profile, because Monday morning isn’t Saturday morning. It predicts the next hour, the next six, the rest of today and tomorrow. No external service, no container, no training.

Two versions, and the only question is your tariff:

  • Fixed price → pv_management_fix
  • Spot or variable (aWATTar, smartENERGY, Tibber) → pv_management, the same thing plus a five-level traffic light, EPEX prices and automatic battery charging that uses the consumption forecast to decide whether to buy cheap tonight

Both are in HACS default, just search for them. Running on my own system in Austria, fixed tariff. Issues and ideas welcome.
