Question about changing a Zegbee antenna

Hi everyone, I currently have my Zegbee network set up with the Sonoff universal dongle antenna, and I was given the new HA Connect ZBT-2 antenna. Despite countless attempts—following YouTube videos, searching forums, and using Gemini—I've ended up having to perform a system restore because it's simply impossible. I don't know what I'm doing wrong; I've tried everything, honestly. They say it's just plug and play, but in my case, it's not working.

I would really appreciate any help. After months of giving up, I tried again today, and I just had to restore the system, so it's impossible...

By the way, as you can see, I haven't been using this for very long, and I have HA on the Green server.

Thanks for your help.

Best regards.

Oh! And thank you for welcoming me to this forum!

Welcome!
Is it just the antenna you have changed or the entire device connected to it, with all the associated configuration changes required to make it work?

You mentioned trying everything except following the official migration guide. Have you tried that? https://support.nabucasa.com/hc/en-us/articles/29400665034397-Migrating-an-existing-Zigbee-Home-Automation-ZHA-network-to-Home-Assistant-Connect-ZBT-2

Yes, that too, in fact I've tried it again and it still doesn't work... I'm getting these errors...

...

Hi! Only the antenna; the device is the same. Thanks!

You could have mentioned you were using Zigbee2Mqtt instead of ZHA earlier. That would have helped us immensely.

Look closer at the error screen. It's giving you a link to the Z2M troubleshooting page. Search there for the "No valid usb adapter found" error & how to troubleshoot it

Not sure what you meant by this either. The zbt2 is a device with an antenna. It's not an antenna by itself.

I suggest you explain clearly how you were running zigbee & what you did exactly.

Hello again, and thank you for your help. I'm sorry, but yes, I am using zigbee2MQTT, which I hadn't mentioned before. I'm following the same instructions as on the official website, the same steps, and in step 4 I select option 2, "custom." After removing the old device (Sonoff), I wait, but zigbee2MQTT doesn't start, and all devices are offline. I've restarted, but nothing has changed. I've also tried entering the address shown in system/Hardware/ttyUSB0/.... and in zigbee2MQTT/configuration/port/.... and in adapter/ezsp. I've restarted, but still nothing. I don't know where the problem is or what I'm doing wrong. Thanks!

Yes, the CBT2 is a device with an integrated antenna. That's the one I have. Thanks

I'd try to reboot the whole machine. Hot plugigng things doesn't always work properly with HAOS.

One question: although the Zigbee devices don't appear initially (it says about 1 hour), the Zigbee2MQTT network should be enabled, right?

A Zigbee network can take hours to rebuild. You can speed it up by manually toggling them. Like, if it's a light switch, turn it off and on once.

Note- I use ZHA, not Z2M.

I think the problem is not about migration (at least not just yet), but Z2M could not see or talk to the USB dongle.

So, is there a way to check when you plug your ZBT-2 to the metal box, does the OS see the ZBT-2…?
Does both sonoff and ZBT-2 plugged into the same metal box that runs HA? Does the OS see both? Does HA see both?

What have you tried exactly? Can you elaborate step by step (, instead of I follow xxx guide)? Give us some pictures / screen shots also.

Show us your current Z2M config, especially the serial section. That error you're seeing is referenced in the troubleshooting link you got, and it's specifically due to incorrect serial configuration. Zigbee2MQTT fails to start/crashes runtime | Zigbee2MQTT.

Also, what Hardware are you running HA on?

I just did it and it recognizes both devices

Then I reinstalled as recommended by the official installation instructions.

Then I disconnected the old device and left the new one connected; it was already malfunctioning.

And that was why ShadowFist asking the question. Your zigbee dongles (sonoff and ZBT-2) are using different routes (this is good). But Z2M does not know which route to go so that to talk to different dongles. Please answer what ShadowFist asked above.

And I tried manually entering the address

And it's still giving me an error... I've restarted it and nothing... Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure if one of the images answers the question the other person has; if not, please let me know. Thanks for your help.
