Question about DS923+ and Bluetooth

Hello,
I have HA running on a VM on the Synology DS923+ and I’m wondering if it would be possible to integrate Bluetooth into HA using a Bluetooth dongle connected to the NAS. Has anyone done this successfully? And if so, which dongle did they use?

Thank you!!

Torsten

I succesfully connected BT dongle on my HA when i ran it in vm on my DS918+. I used one of THESE reccomended dongles.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll take a look.

Since I haven’t found any useful information on compatibility with the DS923+ on Synology’s website yet, I’ll take a closer look at the information listed there.

Found it: i bought “Zexmte 150M USB Bluetooth 5.4 Adapter” on aliexpress. It worked great. Just connect it to syno, go to VM settings and attach it there (under USB devices i think),

I do not know if anything has changed with VMM on DSM 7.x, but VMM on DSM 6.x requires you to login to the Synology web GUI and re-attach the USB port to the VM every time that the NAS reboots. Just mentioning it as a heads-up for using USB dongles with VMM…

Hm… i used that dongle on DSM7. I can’t say for sure, but i think i didn’t have to reattach usb after reboot, all was done autimatically.

I’ve now ordered the Feasycom FSC-BP119 from Alibaba.

We’ll see if it works.
