Yes, if you visit a thread you will now get notifications when solutions are found for them.
This is a discourse change in their latest version of software.
oh. any way to turn this feature off manually in setting?
Note that disabling that option that @Didgeridrew suggested means you also won’t get notified when someone actually marks your post as a solution.
This happens if you only visit it? Or do you have to mark it somewhere as following it? I also noted the notifications, I find it quite annoying tbh.
Then turn it off, 2 posts up.
OK, I should have been more specific. The thing I find annoying is that apparently a post is marked as ‘tracking’ just because I randomly browsed there. If I actively marked a post as such, I do want to be notified.
Anyway, this is apparently a Discourse thing so we’ll have to live with it.
Discourse has always done that. The only difference is the notification for the solution, so just disable the notification, you won’t get any other notifications
