Rasphberry PI 3+ POE hat fan control

Got the official POE hat with integrated fan. The docs talk of latest firmware to support the fan. Apparently, it turns on when it gets above 50c.

Is this supported by Hassio ?

Also interested to know this. I’m new to home assistant and raspberry pi, but it seems there’s info out there on modifying a config file to change on/off temps that’s specific to raspbian?

Has anyone found a solution to the fan control problem on a RPI 3+? It’s working on my RPI 4, but the Aeotec’s Gen5 Z Wave is not so I stuck on the RPI 3+ for now.

I did get the POE hat to work just fine (out of the box).

However, it cycled on/off, temp moved from 35-45 degrees every minute (would have preferred a steady temp).

Now on NUC (ZStick works fine there as it did on PI3.
