Hi relatively new to HA, bought a raspi-5 to put HA on, built it with the HAOS (i think) native OS and then 2 weeks later it became Obsolete.. (my luck). Re-installed using the Debian OS and a docker version of HA 2026.7.1. Firstly, is this the right most likely to be supported version going forward. I am hoping to use EMHASS to manage a Solar+Battery ..?
If you don’t understand docker this is not the way to go. Pi5 is supported with HAOS, and will no doubt be for many years yet. I assume you have read the docs ???
HAOS wasn’t made obsolete & is still supported, along with Container. If you’re using Docker, then you have a Container install, though if you’re not super familiar with it, I suggest you use HAOS so you can run Apps directly inside HA instead of hunting down docker versions of them.
