Re-enable external SSD data partition after re-install

I needed to re-install Hassio after my my SD card failed. I had the data partition on an external SSD.

Is there a way to mount that external data partition without using the datactl command and deleting the data on my SSD? I was trying to follow what the datactl command does but I lost in the systemd services…

I think I have figured this out. The partitions are mounted by label, so simply renaming the data partition on the SD card will do it:

e2label /dev/mmcblk0p8 hassos-data-old
