I was wondering, is it possible to rebrand home assistant… Changing logo and platform name?
As a real life use case , if you build a customized version that can be reused into multiple homes and possibly selling as a custom product with your own Brand.
Is this possible? Is it against any HA licensing policy ?

Is it against the license? No, the code base is under the Apache 2.0 license
Is it going to annoy the community? Very likely. Particularly if you go selling something after making modifications and then point people at the forums for support
Would you be better of selling your services to help support folks using HA with a particular use case? Yes
Would it be a good idea for you to help support Nabu Casa with one (or more) subscription(s)? Yes, particularly if you’re turning around and making money off of the work that they provide free

Hi everyone,
I’m encountering the same issue. After some experience and evaluation, I want to start selling my service as “Home Assistant consultant” but from my experience having Home Assistant logo is confusing for the people. Right now I’m putting my brand inside the dashboard, so people can remember to contact me for any help, but very often people that don’t know me directly or that met me months ago doesn’t remember to call me and they try to reach for help to “Home assistant”, realizing that there is no assistance service for them.
My customer are not really able nor want to put their hands in home assistant, they just want a Smart Home solution that works - also because that’s what I sell them, a working Smart Home solution.
So I’m trying to re-brand Home Assistant, not for stealing but to be the front-man because I’m the one providing assistance on the product. I will of course mention Home Assistant because without this I won’t be doing anything, but I think the option of branding Home Assistant have its advantages and use cases.
So if anyone figured it out and could help me… I’m in need

As I mentioned here you can already do some rebranding. If feel you absolutely need to do more, then investigate how the hass-favicon plugin is doing what it’s doing and create your own integration that modifies things like the 
page where it would make sense to add additional information such as support contact information.
