I’d like to add a remote isolation option to a mains powered doorbell (Byron 776) so that callers don’t wake a sleeping baby. The doorbell has an 8v AC transformer so that’s available for power. I’d prefer not to use the 230v mains voltage. Safety and reliability are my priorities along with being compact enough to ideally fit inside the doorbell. I reckon there’s 25mm x 35mm x 60mm available.
The MHCOZY Zigbee relay is the only device I’ve found so far and there seem to be reliability concerns with it.
It seems to be performing fine so far although I’m not asking much of it. It also was the perfect size to fit inside the void inside the doorbell, despite not having dimensions on its Amazon listing so that’s extra lucky!
I think that MHCOZY device has the same insides as my ewelink relay that I run on 12 V to control some LEDs built in to a cabinet. That one has been working flawlessly in my home for the past two years or so.
