Recommendations for reliable air humidity sensors

Hi!

At the moment I have four air humidity sensors from different manufacturers. They currently show values between 36% and 78% for the same room. I do not know which sensor is nearest to the actual value.

  • HmIP-STH shows 78% (device from eQ-3/Homematic IP)
  • Aqara WSDCGQ11LM shows 64%
  • The indoor humidity sensor of my EcoWitt GW2000A shows 54%
  • The humidity sensor of my Ulanzi TC001 shows 36%

Are there a air humidity sensors which are known for showing correct values and that work well with Home Assistant? What are your recommendations?

Thanks!

I bought a three pack of govee wifi thermometer/hygrometer on Amazon. They matched my Ecobee thermostat well when hung in the same place. I didn’t try to integrate them into HA.

Afaik Aqara uses Sensirion SHT30 and while it’s the least accurate version of SHT3x, I would expect it to be within ±5%.

Get esphome board and SHT45 sensor module so you have reference.

Hello @BorgTenOfNine,
Consumer humidity sensors vary widely—brands like Sensirion (e.g. SHT31, SHT35) are known for accuracy and integrate well with Home Assistant, so using a sensor based on those chips is a reliable choice. e-zpassfl com
