Hey everyone,
After quite a bit of testing, we feel ready to soft-release netwrth and its HACS integrations for tracking banking assets and spending habits.
This project started after trying multiple solutions, paying various vendors for scraping banking data, and not really being happy with the end results.
What you get
- Net worth over time (total, by account, by category, net flow), a stat card with a composition bar, an accounts list with sync freshness, and spending cards (month summary, recurring bills calendar, credit card cycle).
- Censored by default: All views, API and cards have been developed keeping in mind they have to be dashboard-ready. They all allow censoring server-side, censoring all absolute numbers while allowing percentages through. See in the original landing or HACS repo for some examples of supported configurations.
- Cards support theming, so original netwrth and light/dark themes can be applied, or it also allows following existing themes applied to HA.
- Sensors for automations: total change over day/week/month/year, cash/investment/credit shares, last update. Services to conceal every screen at night.
How it syncs
The cards talk to netwrth, a hosted financial tracker: we offer Plaid for bank linking, or bring your own SimpleFIN token if you are already on SimpleFIN. The HA integration is free and open source; Plaid and infra have costs associated - hence the paid plans. We’re opening in small batches to test the backend starting today; signing in with Google or GitHub puts you on the list.
Happy to answer config questions here. The dashboard in the screenshot is a plain sections view; YAML for it is in the README.
