Remote access (DuckDNS & NINGX add-ons) stopped working

Dear all,

I’m running the official HA image for the Raspberry Pi 4 (32 bits). Around the time of the recent updates, my remote access setup suddenly broke. After numerous retries, I can’t seem to get it to work again.

I’ve added my token and domain in de respective configurations of the add-ons. I’ve also set “true” for the Let’s Encrypt conditions. Everything else is set to defaults. I’ve only added ip_bans to http in the config.yaml. My router port forwards 443 from outside to 443 on my HA internal IP.

I’m currently in the situation where local access through http://:8123 works. In my local network https://.duckdns.org also works, for some strange reason.

But when I switch to external connections (like 4G of my phone), I can’t get in via https://.duckdns.org. While this used to work like a charm.

Any pointers what might be the root cause of this? I’m happy to supply more information on my config, if that helps!

Best,

Maarten

No one experiencing similar issues? I really hope someone can point me to some silly obvious thing I’ve done wrong here

I have the same problem and I don’t know what I can do.

Now I’m using CloudFlare integration on port 8443 to solve this problem.

I didn’t test Alexa/Google services yet, but I’ll soon.

If you need help to integrate follow this tutorial: Home Assistant with Cloudflare
