Remote control for Airtight fireplace air intake

The air intake vent for our airtight fireplace is less than precise. I’d like to install a remote controlled damper that I could adjust based on temperature. The closest thing i found was a backdraft preventer for the air intake on a furnace. It’s meant to close when the furnace isn’t running to prevent drafts.

The problem is that the ones I’ve seen have three or four hardwired stops based on the wire you power. Also, the ones meant for the furnace are designed to be wired into the thermostat. I’d also like more granularity, ideally I’d like infinite positioning, but I could live with 10 stops or so.

Has anyone seen something like this or do you know of something that could be retrofitted for my use case?
