during the creation of automation I found some extra folders (which were created by automations) in the media section… how can I remove the excess folders that only create confusion for me? (excess folders are empty and they are not used by automations)
You can use the Samba share add-on to browse to the media folder and delete them.

actually while it does let you create and delete folders, it doesn’t show the system root, so the media folder is not available
