Removing old helpers

Disabling adblocker worked for me, thank you!

What worked for me is the entities page for some, and deleting the others from .storage/core.config_entries (not the entity registry, as they didn’t have entities) on HA 2024.11.1

I can confirm that is the browser cache. Instead of deleting my cache, I switched to another browser and I was able to delete the helper. I think it also might work to open an incognito window. Since just switching from Safari to Chrome worked for me I can’t say for sure.

Thank you for your service. Two years later and it’s still an issue. Ctrl + F5 on the entities page (may work on helpers page too) allowed me to delete this helper

Ctrl-F5 Worked on the helpers page and fixed another helper that would not open settings properly.

No luck here. I’m running
Installation method Home Assistant OS Core 2025.7.4, Supervisor 2025.09.0,
Operating System 16.0, Frontend 20250702.3

When I hit the gear icon, the bottom of the dialog has the delete button greyed out (disabled) . So far, the best I can do is disable them. These rogue helpers are relics of my earlier system before I upgraded to 2025. If anyone has ideas how to overcome, please let me know.

Dude, I signed up just to say THANK YOU!!!. I use Brave browser and I turned off the shield and that did it would have never thought of this

This is so un-obvious. Could the admin for this blog add “use Ctrl+F5” to the title so people didn’t have to work their way through all the answers!
