Removing or adding integrations is undone after restart of HA

Hello,
I am struggling with the following.
I added DSMR smart meter in the integrations, set it up and see it working. When I restart HA the integration is gone..
I also had some repairs to do, so I removed some of the integrations. When I restart HA these integrations are back again.
I also had to login again for an integration (which I did) and after the restart the same error was there again and I had to login again.

What is going on and how can I fix this?

Some details of my system:

  • Home Assistant OS
  • Core 2026.7.2
  • Supervisor 2026.07.3
  • Operating System 18.1
  • Frontend 20260624.5

What integrations?
At least consider if they are custom integrations or integrations included with core. Then you can focus on the right place to ask the question.

Then us knowing what your hardware is would help us. For example if you are running multiple integration on a Pi3 I would say you are running out of memory. (for example)

Integrations included with core, so as mentioned “DSMR smart meter” and tried to remove the “AccuWeather” integration for example.

I am running it on a NUC with Proxmox.

Can you help with this or do you need more details?

Have you try executing a HA reboot vs a restart after removing the integrations ?

With the help of AI I have already gone over a couple of items:

  • HA OS is not read‑only;
  • Proxmox is not restoring snapshots or templates.
  • Ran ha core rebuild and ha supervisor repair → no change.
  • After adding DSMR smart meter, no DSMR smart meter entry appears in .storage/core.config_entries.
  • DSMR smart meter therefore disappears on every reboot.

I have no idea what to try anymore. Any ideas here?

Anyone got any idea what I can do? I just can’t get it to work unfortunately and really don’t know what to try anymore..

Clear your cache and refresh the page, then remove the integration. Also, it would be best if you could record a video of you removing the integration.

You can also see a couple of repairs, but they are also undone when restarting HA.

That video doesn’t show you removing the integration. On the integration page, click the 3 vertical dots and then click the delete option at the bottom.
