Renew letsencrypt

The SSL for my homeassistant has expired and I am locked out. How can I renew it? Last time this happened it just required a reboot to install the already renewed certificate.

I have physical console (and neutered SSH) to the machine, I just don’t know what command to issue in order to force the renewal.

Included in DuckDNS addon or stand alone addon?

I think it is supposed to renew automatically. It certainly did when I was using DuckDNS.

However I do remember reading that some people needed to open port 80, renew the certificate (restart the addon), then close port 80 again.

Nope, it does not renew automatically.

In the github they are just bickering for months to even mention it in the documentation.

In any case I am forced to disable https because I added a device that uses the api/webhook but doesn’t support HTTPS and I was unable to find a way to run both HTTP and HTTPS on homeasisstant.

You run Home Assistant as http and use a reverse proxy for https.

Did you ever get your certificate renewed? I just received my 30-day renewal email and can’t find how I renew my certificate. I am using the add-on in HAOS and have no access to the command line to run certbot.
