I purchased a Reolink doorbell (PoE) and camera (RLC-840A) (PoE) together with the Reolink PoE switch. The idea is to replace my current Foscam cameras. I choose Reolink because of the good reviews in combination with the HA integration.
Got it all working, was easy except for the FTP setup for recordings.
Now I find a lot of lag on the camera, but not on the doorbell (camera). It is up to 30 seconds for the camera versus 1 or 2 seconds for the doorbell. It is only in HA, in the Reolink windows app the lag is minimal for either.
Setup of the cameras in the Reolink app and in the HA integration are the same. Using ‘fluent’ stream for both.
Why would there be such a difference, what can I try next? Is it the camera h/w, I can still return.
