For a trigger event I am able to set up using the motion blueprint. But I think the person detection would be better. Person feature works great within Reolink, but I don’t see any such selection within the integration. Using just motion I’m not getting good detection without it being too sensitive to leaves. Gemini thinks it might be because cams are plugged directly into the NVR.
I don’t have an NVR, but check if you have a binary sensor binary_sensor.CAMERANAME_person that you can use.
On this page: Reolink - Home Assistant
the following attention is specified:
- Note that almost all entities, including motion/ai detection and the camera streams, will be unavailable when privacy mode is turned ON. Check the history of the Privacy mode entity to see if this is causing the issues.
Hope you you can solve the issue with this.
Problem solved. Found them with a search under “person”. They seem to be invisible under the blueprint, which only shows basic motion. Person works much better.
