Reordering Floors, Categories, Etc

This is kind of a WTH moment, but I’m not seeing any way to reorder things in Home Assistant. Things that should obviously be reorderable, such as floors. My list goes:

  • Basement
  • 2nd Floor
  • 1st Floor

… And I had to delete and recreate the floors just to get them in the right order. I also can’t find a way to reorder categories, when sorting automations, which can be very complicated to keep deleting and recreating.

Wondering if anyone has a workaround for this, even if it involves manually editing some YAML? Other things like categories within the automations list should also be reorderable.

This appears to be a Frontend Related Feature Request as it is asking for changes to Frontend Menus, Dashboards, or Sections.

These Feature Requests are handled in a different system, and will not be seen by the right people if posted in the HA forums.
