I’ve been running home assistant since 2017. Love it. The problem is I have lots of automations, scripts and devices. When a device dies I either need to manually delete the old one and rename the new one to match it so that everything still works after it’s replaced. I also sometimes go an opposite direction and go through updating scripts and automations with the new device name.
I think it would be cool that if you have a device that died that you could go to that device and tap replace device. Then it would present you with a list of devices that you are replacing with.
