I’m considering an ElitePRO S1000, primarily because I want to monitor and log my HVAC locally with Home Assistant without depending on Resideo’s cloud.
Has anyone paired an S900, S1000, S1100 or S1200/X8S directly with Home Assistant using Matter? If multiple models have been tested, comparisons would be particularly useful.
Could you post a screenshot or list of the entities/attributes HA creates? In particular I’m interested in whether Matter exposes:
- current temperature
- current humidity
- HVAC operating state (idle/heating/cooling)
- heat/cool demand or call state
- current heating/cooling stage
- fan state
- humidifier state
- any RedLINK remote-sensor data (S1000/S1100/S1200)
I’m specifically asking about the local Matter integration, rather than the Resideo cloud API.
@sfcodes — tagging you since your ha-resideo work on the S1200/X8S shows that the thermostat itself has a much richer set of telemetry available through Resideo’s backend. Have you also paired your S1200/X8S to HA over Matter? I’d be particularly interested in what subset of that data Matter actually exposes.
My basic objective is fairly simple: I want HA to record indoor temperatures and actual heating/cooling calls so I can correlate HVAC runtime with outdoor temperature and independent room-temperature sensors. I’m trying to keep the core logging system functional without Internet access or vendor cloud services.
