Has anyone had any luck getting the Honeywell/Resideo integrations to work for thermostats? Specifically the T5 pro. When I had the house built in 2019, I was able to add all three of my thermostats to HA without issue. Then Honewell changed to the Resideo name and at first nothing changed and everything worked. However, for the past year or so, I can not get my Wifi enabled T5 Pro thermostat's to add to HA. The integration for honeywell says to get a developer account with honeywell to get an API key created for it, and to put the API key in config to add it to HA. I've tried many times to sign up at the link for a Honeywell API key/dev account and I get the email saying my account is Pending for approval, but approval nor deny never comes! I have tried this 5 times over many email addresses, to no avail :(.
Is there another way to get my T5 Pro tstats to add to HA?
I dont want to buy 3 new thermostats and then have them installed via a pro since I have a pretty complicated multi-zone, multi-remote temp sensors in rooms that feed each zone at that tstat individual as well.
You mentioned that they are wifi. I have 2 of those and they are HomeKit compatible. Check the setting on the screen and see if yours are too. If so, just reset the HomeKit pairing and it will display the pairing code for you.
I'll second what rouxdoo said. I just got a Honeywell a year ago, and I've never been able to get the cloud based one to work with my Residio account or any key I could generate. Which is fine since I want local control. If you can get the HomeKit pairing code, you can use the HomeKit integration in HA to pair with it and control the thermostat fully locally.
Thank you both! I had the Wi-Fi and everything running great for years. And then Honeywell switched over to the residio name/app and everything changed and start getting flaky. Now I can't get any of the cloud stuff to work and I can't get a dev account because they don't even reply back to accept or deny my request for API.
Unfortunately I do not have any Apple devices, so home kit isn't a good option for me, I have an old iPad from when my son was in high school and needed it. Maybe I'll see if I can get that thing to turn on and get the home kit bridge setup.
You don't need any Apple devices to use the HomeKit Device integration. That integration "tricks" the HomeKit device into thinking it's pairing with an Apple device so you can use it.
