[RESOLVED] [Yellow + CM5] Cannot find the driver via rpiboot / Cannot reset

Home Assistant Yellow + CM5

[1] I started by installing the image for usb driver with CM4. Following this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqQ-a6n6lX0&t=708s
It doesn’t seem working. I realized it may be because I am using CM5.

[2] I restarted the process following Reinstalling the Home Assistant OS on CM5 – Home Assistant Yellow I cabled via USB-C and moved the jumper.

After “On the Yellow board, press and hold the recovery button.”, it called out that I should expect “Only the red LED should be on at this point (solid, not blinking).” But I press and hold the USB-C Rcvry button for more than one minute. It is still showing a solid green light.

My rpiboot also stucks at

Loading: mass-storage-gadget64/bootfiles.bin
Using mass-storage-gadget64/bootfiles.bin
Waiting for BCM2835/6/7/2711/2712...

// The heat sink is hot when it is connected with power (POE)
// I tried “held down USB-C Recovery button” while a/ usb cable is connected and ripboot is waiting and b/ usb cable is disconnected and c/ before the power is on

[3] I feel it is solid green because I messed up at [1] so I try to reset it. I try to find different way to reset it but It seems like it requires connecting to the pi from my mac first.

[4] I searched around and asked chatgpt. Still no resolution.

Resolved:
I found this sequence is the trick.
run rpiboot > USB-C Recovery button held down > reconnect the power
