Restart, restart, restart

Would there be a way to avoid restarting HA all the time? I mean I am just tired of restarting HA a dozen times for a bunch of config changes. I mean I would consider HA as my core part of home automation, therefore thinking of it as a server where I would like to see changes on runtime level unless really affecting core functionality. The issue is that even very simple things are right now are done on core cuntionality level which needs a whole reboot.

Rebooting the host hardware is completely different from restarting the Home Assistant server. This should rarely be required (pretty much OS updates only).

What exactly are you changing or adding?

There are a lot of things that can be reloaded instead of restarting home assistant. See the list at Developer Tools → YAML

Failing that the server restart option (not reboot) is on the same page.
