Restoring new backup is impossible

Hi, Im trying to restore the new backup made with the new backup update but I keep getting 500 internal error or the restore page just disappear and get back to onboarding.
I was able to restore a back from February but not the new ones.
Also If I download a backup and try to open it with 7zip I get an error and nothing will be extracted… How is this possible?
How can I resolved?

I get an error too, if I right click and choose open archive from the 7zip menu it opens.

Is this a clean install? Is the backup located on home assistant or are you trying to upload and restore at the same time? If the latter, first copy the backup to home assistant, then try to restore.

The backup are store in my nas. I upload the backup to a fresh installation, then choose the folder to restore then click restore

It opens yes but you cannot extract the data. The stuff you get extract are a few kilobytes

If you still have your old HA instance running, make a backup without encryption

Completely erased… I just have the backups

If you try to restore from the welcome screen, that often fails. Go through onboarding (create a user etc…), then go to settings → system → backups, in the corner, upload backup

then try to restore from that screen.

I get fail to upload backup

Last thing I can think of, install the Samba add-on and copy your backup using Samba

Isnt possible that the backups are all corrupted? Or maybe with the latest update they arent incompatible due to some modifications on core/os?

Gonna try it

I moved the backups with samba in the folder and the system doesnt see it.
I thought it was the wrong folder so I created a backup manually and pop up in that folder.
Any tips on why it doesnt see the backups?

I just tried it out (I have a virtual box instance I start once a month to test backups/restore). Copied a backup using Samba. It was only visible after a reboot of the VM.
