Retention setting for automatic backups not working

Good evening all,

I have setup Google Drive as one of my automatic backup locations. I have the retention set to 10 backups. Yesterday I noticed that the older backups are not getting deleted. Is this the way things are supposed to happen? If not, can someone help me figure out what is going on?

It is not supposed to happen. Do you have Google drive installed on your PC ?

No Google drive on my PC. The backups are happening wonderfully, just not deleting the older backups. So, if this is not supposed to happen, then why is there a retention setting for the backup method. That makes no sense to me.

I have a retention setting of 4, just checked

Check your logs why they are not deleted.

I checked my # of retentions on Google Drive. I am seeing the correct amount (3) as well.

@RobH_1 You could test setting a smaller retention number using the custom retention settings. This is accessed by clicking the gear for that specific drive under the Locations section.
