Hi All,
So i have spent a fair bit of time trying to integrate my existing MHI ducted Air conditioner with Home Assistant.
I have the main control working using a MQTT climate integration, and have replaced my exiting 5 zone damper controller with a zigbee relay unit and its working great.
However i want to set up so i can do individual zone/room temperature control.
Each room/zone currently has a Zigbee Temperature sensor.
Ideally what i would like each room would be able to set the desired temperature and have an On/Off switch (or Enabled/disabled). This in turn will power up the MHI main control and open up damper to the the zone. One the room gets to the set temperature it will close the damper. If that room/zone is the only one on then will power off the MHI main control.
I have played with the generic thermostat but there it can only do heat mode or cool mode and not both…
Just wondering if anyone has done something similar to this.
I have seen plenty of thermostats posts that do sort of dual control but it seems more for the central heating than for a reverse cycle AC that can do both heating and cooling.
