Riello UPS

Hi All,
i just bought a Riello IDG800 ups that’s supported by NUT, but i have no idea how to set it up on hassio… i would like to know when the power goes off and than the UPS works by battery… is there any chance?

You will need to install a nut server somewhere and connect it to the UPS via usb.

There is a hassio addon that will work to setup the server. I have bounced around to a few different add-ons and eventually just made my own repository for NUT as others were flaky. It should auto detect your UPS and setup the server.

After that is up and running, setup the NUT integration

From there you can setup an automation to notify you when the power is out.

I bought a Riello IDG800 ups some months ago, and have yet to set up monitoring on it. Is the advise here still good? What should I install/do?
