I would like to implement the following with Home Assistant.
I currently have a Ring camera and the necessary add-ons (ring-mqtt & ring) installed to display a video stream from the camera on the dashboard.
I would also like to control an outdoor light on the house using the “motion” event.
That doesn’t quite work, though, because the moment the doorbell is set to “live,” the motion events are no longer transmitted.
Since I’m running Home Assistant on a wall display, the dashboard is always active, and so is the live stream. I was thinking about removing the camera from the dashboard and having a pop-up or something similar appear on the dashboard when motion is detected or the doorbell rings. Is that possible, or does anyone have a better idea how to achieve this?
