Since the last Chrome update, the “Ring” doorbell card is showing “Failed to connect WebRTC stream: Failed to execute ‘setRemoteDescription’ on ‘RTCPeerConnection’: Failed to set remote answer sdp: Incompatible send direction”. How can I fix this error?
I just started seeing the same thing FWIW.
The Temp fix from here works well
Which files do we need to put into the new directories?
Great this worked!
So easiest way to do this is clone the git into custom_components/ring (make this directory and install all the files) When you’re done installing reboot the machine and viola! it should work like normal
Awesome! This fixed the issues for my parents aswell! ![]()
worked for me, thank you!
Great fix! Thank you,… but only working in my case for Android and Chrome. Firefox unfortunately stays empty. Any idea what I could change in my (FF?) config to enable the views?
I’m on the latest FF and HA releases and have tried to remove all plugins and delete the cash - no luck. All my webRTC -named FF about:config entries are standard.
Im getting a new error now, followed the steps and the new component isnt happy. I used file editor to transfer the files from the git over to the custum_components/ring folder
Used SambaShare to copy files across. Worked and now all cameras are OK again
This fixed my issue.
Just so you’ll know. As a temporary fix I installed Opera for Windows. Works fine from there…
Thanks.
