I have some higher tresholds in my house wich are no problem for my roborock, but i have one treshold to my hallway which is a big problem for the roborock, even it’s not the highest treshold.
The roborock should overcome 2 cm, this one is around 1,3 cm and i even tried some things with wood as shown at the picture to make it even lower.
Someone a idea what i can do?
Is it hitting the senor, or could it possibly be detecting an obstacle, or cliff with the dark carpet differences? The map on the app might show that. I vaguely remember someone saying on a facebook group something about a dark carpet transition.
Indeed there is a dark carpet behind the treshold, but no idea what could help. The area is known on the map cause i lifted it earlier over the treshold…
Edit: Found some thing about cliff sensors so gone have a look at that!
Testing that theory, maybe putting down some white masking tape on the threshold and see if it makes it further… If it does, maybe some sort of lighting trick could help?
Placed some white paper wrapped with tape on the two front cliff sensors and tried to get over the treshold again. the three times i tried it was going over, so this seems to be the solution!
So… is this the case where your S7 think it sees a cliff (as opposed to a threshold), because your threshold being black?
The treshold being black is not the problem, the black carpet behind the treshold is the problem in my case.
