Rogue light turning on

I have an Aqara FP2 sensor at my desk, it works brilliantly and turns the light on behind my desk, when I sit down to work, the off again when I leave, I only tell you this to give you the complete set up, my office is one end of a big dining room, and at the other end I have 2 LED strip lights on the ceiling, every time the light behind my desk comes on the left hand of the strips in the dining room also comes on, I can also turn the dining room strip on and off by turning the desk light on and off, I have been through the naming and automation with a fine tooth comb and can find nothing linking them…

Any ideas would stop me pulling my hair out. Thanks

I would guess some kind of naming conflict, maybe with the Aqara app involved.

I had not thought of the app, thank you I will take a look today…

Have you ‘grouped’ anything?

Update - Nothing to do with the Aqara App, yes the lights are grouped, just about to delete that group and try again, but they are not grouped to the office light at all.

Do you have unwanted neutral or earthing issues? One switch switching active, and the other neutral? You may need an electrician to verify your lighting wiring.

I am an electrician and this is a new install, be fine up until the other day, very weird

But I will double check, that’s for sure lol

Ok, cross that out. You will know as soon as you peek at it.

What naming convention is your entities for each device. How are you addressing these in your automations? We haven’t seen any code. or logs.

Update - Nothing wrong with the wiring, however, when I unplugged the dining room LED the office one stopped responding completely, I deleted it and re-added it to the ZHA, and that seems to have fixed it, I will take a trawl though the logs later and see if I can find the root cause but for now it is fixed, thank you for all your input and help, have a cracking new year all of you.

Thanks. Good that I, and you, won’t lose sleep about this one.
