I’ve released a new version on HACS (Release v2.0.0-b0 · tggm/rointe-hacs · GitHub). Beta version.
Please note the following:
- I have my radiators in storage and in the near term I’ll be unable to test the code. I’ll rely on you all
- The latest version is updated to HA 2015.01
- No tests
The code is based on work done on an attempt I made to propose this integration to the mainline HA repository. Unfortunately that was a horrible process, They made me remove all platforms except climate and I spent MONTHS doing fix after fix after fix. I eventually gave up.
A consequence of this is that I ended up with a, granted, very polished integration but without the Sensor and Update platforms. The HACS release above tries to recover those two platforms.
I don’t care about merging this to HA mainline anymore. If anyone wants to do it, good luck. I can’t manage two separate code branches: one for HACS with all features and with people sending in bugs for Rointe devices I don’t have and another one for HA where I have to split this into multiple PR’s. No thank you.
I also encourage everyone interested in this to send an email to Rointe to ask them to pick up this code and manage them themselves.
