I’ve got an HA Green installation as listed below:
Installation method Home Assistant OS
Core 2026.2.1
Supervisor 2026.02.2
Operating System 17.0
Frontend 20260128.6
There is a new pending update, but I just saw it as I sat down.
I’ve been using the Roku integration successfully for a year or so. I’ve got five Roku devices in this install. I have been very pleased, and using the FireRemote card for my dashboards. Over the last couple months or so. 4 Individual devices have stopped responding. I do my due diligence. Check the device real IP, make sure it was MDHCP locked on my router. I go into the not-reporting device reconfigure in the HA integration, and the IP is different. Not only different, but from a DHCP excluded range on my router. I kept the low ones for static, which I almost never use… Not only low, but seems to have just dropped the units digit from the locked device IP. That might really be an odd coincidence, but below 100 is excluded on my router.
I correct the IP to match the current locked IP and it starts working.
Not sure what testing I can do, but glad to help any way I can.
Go into your DHCP host aka your modem or router that is the primary device handing out IP’s on the network and set static IP’s assigned to the MAC address of those.
Also make sure they don’t have a different IP set in their settings from what is assigned at the host level.
Then power cycle the network and devices to flush the network cache.
Sorry for the delay, hadn’t followed up here for a while. I must not have been clear with my question. In this case, I verified that the MDHCP entries were in the router DHCP server config, and also verified that the IP addresses currently registered to the devices by the router and reported by the end devices were consistent.
I am retired IT networking, so, I’m very familiar with diagnosing and troubleshooting DHCP to a pretty deep level…
From an educated guess, it looked lite an HA data corruption where the units digit for the Roku device IP was dropped. Problem hasn’t recurred in a couple months, so I’m still holding my breath.
