Room Assistant on Home Assistant

I have two instances of Room Assistant in a cluster, one running on a Pi Zero W, and one running on Home Assistant itself.

The instance on the Pi Zero is running fine and updates as I go in and out of range.
The instance running on Home Assistant appears to be running fine as per the log file but normally displays the status of devices as ‘not home’. If left for some time I notice it occassionaly updates and shows the correct status, but mostly it doesn’t.

Any ideas?

Could you explain differently ? I didn’t understand.

Are you talking about device tracker ?
Do you have any screenshot ?

The Galaxy A31 is within range of the Garage Room Assistant which is hosted on the Pi Zero and shows its running as expected.

The iPhone is sitting right beside the Home Assistant (RPi4) running Room Assistant as an add on but detects as not_home its been sitting beside it for over an hour.

What is the tecnology used to detect presence? GPS ?

Raspberry4 itself doesn’t have anything stationary to detect presence.

You may, for example, connect home assistant and iPhone at the same network to detect presence.

Other than that, you will need some other hardware that receives the iphone signals.

Room Assistant uses Bluetooth which is what a RPi 4 has.
It sometimes works but mostly not.
