Why rpi gpio switch state not preserved after ha restart?

recorder settings:

  db_url: !secret recorder_db_url
  purge_keep_days: 60

It was reported ages ago, never looked at and I moved on to an alternative that actually works. Though it does require another pi board unless you are running Home Assistant Core.

Open another issue (copy and edit mine if you like) if the alternative I used is not for you.

Strange that this not working on latest ha.

I am running HassOS 3.12 on my pi. I probably can’t use your alternative?

I have an idea to write state to mqtt using node-red an than pull it back with automation triggered on ha start.

Not really. It was never fixed.
